Requirements to Become a Referee

The requirements for becoming a referee are:

Clinics

The CYSA holds clinics for L9 annually in August. You can take a clinic for this grade and others from other associations. See NTSSA website for other clinics. Bookmark this page for announcements of future clinics.

Referee Meeting

Meetings are held at the beginning of the fall and spring season. Notifications cards are mailed out for currently registered CYSA referees. Bookmark this page for announcements of future meetings or refer to the home page for notices before the beginning of each season.

Attendance is mandatory to receive your full bonus of 20% for the season. This also provides a way for your assignor to know your availability for officiating. If you have a conflict and cannot attend, contact your assignor. Their email address and phone numbers are listed here.
